TROOP ADVANCEMENT PAGE

This page is being re-designed to better suit the needs of the parents and scouts. Look for updates soon.

A list of things to remember about advancement

·        All scouts are encouraged to advancement through the ranks at their own pace. Every effort will be made by the troop leadership to provide you with ALL resources to earn badges. If you feel that the advancement program is not meeting your needs, please let a member of the adult leadership know.

·        Scouts who are earning either Tenderfoot, Second Class, or First Class are asked to bring their Scout Handbook to EVERY TROOP ACTIVITY! That includes meetings, trips, and events; if you fullfill a requirement during that activity, a leader can sign-off on the requirement right away.

·        Scouts who have reached Second Class may begin work on the First Aid merit badge.

·        A blue card (or merit badge application) must be obtained and signed by the Scoutmaster before any work can begin on a merit badge.

·        Each scout is allowed to view his own advancement record. This webpage is designed to let you and your parents know where you stand. Any other questions about your advancement record can be answered by the Advancement Chair.

·        Every scout is to schedule a Scoutmaster's conference when they are completed all of the requirements for a rank.

·        All scouts are asked to see the Senior Patrol Leader BEFORE any board of review. The Senior Patrol Leader will pass on to the Advancement Committee that you are ready for the board.
